This image was a conventional -but still digital- shot made with a 47mm lens on a large-format camera.
The client requested a detail shot of this curved wall showing the window cut-outs and, if possible, the cable bridge (top right). The available light was spotty and contrasty; also, there was no lighting that highlighted the window cut-outs from behind, or the ceiling behind the wall. I set up two HMI lights to address the problem. The shot was balanced for the color-temperature of the existing halogen lighting; the HMI lights -having a color-temperature closer to daylight- provided a cool (literally and figuratively) contrast to the warm lighting and colors of the foreground.
